The air was thick with the imagined clash of steel, the thrum of bowstrings, and the roar of battle this past February 8th! We dove headfirst into a fantastic Wars of the Roses game, powered by the new Hail Caesar supplement.
Thomas Wood and I proudly led the Yorkist charge, ready to face down Ian Sherrington's Lancastrian host. And let me tell you, the new rules – especially the devastating arrow storm – really ratcheted up the immersion. You could almost feel the hail of arrows raining down on your lines!
Despite a truly valiant effort from our Yorkist forces, our centre ultimately buckled under the relentless pressure of the Lancastrian bills and longbows. It was a hard-fought and well-deserved victory for Ian.
While the sting of defeat lingers, the excitement for the next encounter is already building. Roll on to the next battle!
